The ILP system consists of conducting different grain, meat and milk production systems, implemented in the same area, in consortium, in rotation or in succession.

ILP is an excellent alternative for the recovery of degraded areas, through the intensification of land use, as it enhances the synergistic effects existing between different plant species, providing, in a sustainable way, greater production per area.

Properties that implement Crop-Livestock Integration (ILP) are able to diversify production, that is, they use the same area throughout the year to produce grains and animal products (meat or milk), generating an increase in the number of economic activities, which makes it possible an increase in profitability per ha/year.

It accelerates the process of increasing soil fertility, because it maintains soil cover correctly, which leads to more accumulation of OM (organic matter) and reduces erosion and loss of soil water (reduced climate vulnerability), bringing benefits to subsequent crops, this leads to increased grain/ha productivity and greater efficiency in the use of inputs.

Well-planned integrated systems promote an increase in soybean production (+10%) and animal production (+70%), compared to pure production systems or those with not yet assertive management.
